Surf Trip Post #1: Where We Ate
Midway Grill is just 5-minutes away from San Juan Surf, Resort. I don’t know about you, but I wanted to play human chess on that floor. My sister, on the other hand, wanted to eat food. See her famished face in the second photo? Haha.
How to throw a party in the most unlikely place
Ever considered holding a party in a place like this? The organizers say, why not. Construction hasn’t started so we have the whole fifth floor basically laying in waste. So, again, why not.

Take some advice from our organizers. Here’s how they threw a party in that very unlikely place:
Rent some table and chairs, put some clean, decent cover on them.

Add some flowers for a pretty effect.

Get a great caterer!!!
(I was so full, I had trouble breathing. The cheesy dynamite was the bomb! Literally.)

Ask some guys willing to do some crazy production number wearing these colorful makeshift wigs.
(It got me giggling!)

Encourage someone to do an impromptu, and hence, an a cappella song number.
(Someone = me. It was a disaster.)

Buy gifts that people can use everyday at the office and raffle them off.

I had fun laughing with everyone, playing the games. I didn’t even notice how time flew. I must say, the organizers did a great job setting up the account party in the office. It’s not about the place, but most about the fun feeling you get anyway.
I love this store. They got pretty pretty clothes, the interiors are so lovely, and the sales ladies are so accommodating.
Must. shop. here. again.
WAFFLE FOR DINNER
Had for dinner what one would usually eat for breakfast. I don’t like eating pancakes. Makes me gag. BUT I do love waffles. They’re basically made of the same ingredients, but food texture makes the world of difference. I love crunchy food!
Grabbed this waffle and maple chicken from Pancake House in Ortigas.
SANDWICH BAR AND DELI
Since I got a new camera, I’ve been meaning to take it on a roll. Last family dinner, I took pictures of details that caught my eye. That neon sign, the exposed brick wall, the pendant lamp, the lovely floor pattern. I love aesthetics more than I do food, so I forgot to take pictures of what we actually ordered. And yes, I’m making an excuse. I just simply forgot. ~forgive me?
Almon Marina is one of my family’s favorite gourmet place. I personally love their fruit and walnut salad, grilled chicken, and open-faced roast chicken sandwich.
I love the furniture and the splash of colors here so I made a palette. It is fun, to say the least, as I am so much into colors. So maybe, I might do this often. A regular series, I guess?
The lovely floral artwork on textile is hand-painted by the Scottish textile design company Bluebellgrey. They print their designs on cushions, paper, tote bags, and fabric panels. If you love floral patterns as much as I do, you’ll love them.
crazy for chevron
I have been on a roundup for images with this rad v-shaped pattern. I absolutely think chevron stripes are so dramatic, and when executed properly, makes for strong statement pieces.
It’s pretty interesting how the pattern plays with your eyes. To me, they give a pop art/comic book art kind of feel. Even more awesome, it works well whatever the color. Just look at all these lovelies I collected to show you what I mean.
